Copy should always be powerful, meaningful and only used when necessary. CrazyPants creates on-air, digital and print messaging that is thoughtful, witty and on-brand.  

THE CUTS

We tell stories.  We draw emotion.  We combine music, words and images to bring viewers on a visual journey.  We LOVE style but we believe that kick-ass cuts come down to great pacing, whether it’s a network sizzle reel, movie trailer or a weekly episodic.

CrazyPants is a full service agency.  From concept stage to a sweet audio mix - clients can feel comfortable dropping a project at our door and walking away knowing that every part of the process will be managed and supervised with great attention to detail. We also know that collaboration can yield the greatest work.  We are a small production company that is focused on the needs of our clients and making the creative process as effortless and fun as possible.

CrazyPants Productions is led by founder, Elana Baumgarten

Elana is an Emmy award-winning writer/ producer/ director who made her start in the industry in 1997.   After 9 years on staff at networks such as Showtime and SYFY, Baumgarten entered the freelance arena and has written, produced and directed everything from channel taglines and series launches to upfront pieces and show segments. She has experience working for numerous networks including HBO, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian Channel, Chiller, NBC and more.   Elana has also served as a Freelance Creative Director at SYFY and Freelance Editorial Director at Nickelodeon.  Additionally, she makes a mean PB & J and can quote ‘80’s movies like nobody’s business.
